My favorite part about the artwork is the mood I tried to create; my least favorite was the background box TVs, they were a lot more troublesome to deal with than I initially expected. My inspiration was just based on this song from YouTube 6 years ago which had what seemed to be a schoolgirl with a TV for a head, ever since then I've liked the concept for humanoid bodies with inanimate object for heads. If I were to do it again, I'd probably do more with the abyssal background or put more thought into the placements of the box TVs, I pretty much just piled them together. I experimented with using Backlighting in a drawing (the light source being behind the subject) which is something I've wanted to tackle for a while. To make the artwork, I used a free digital program called Fire Alpaca and i made 4 total layers for each different part of the drawing. The first layer was the man with the TV head, the second being the TV piles, third being the massive flat screen TV, and the final being the dark abyss with hanging wires. I first drew the line art, then colors. On each color layer, I clipped a water color layer to create a more smooth lighting; going back over it until I got the results I wanted.
