Greetings Todd County Central High School Community:
Welcome back to the 20I8-2019 school year. As the new principal at TCCHS, let me be the first to share with you how honored and excited I am to be the principal of such a great group of students and parents. Your children are in excellent hands and we are so fortunate to have such a strong, dedicated community here. We will be working to ensure each and every student is empowered and equipped with the knowledge, skills, and dispositions to pursue a successful future. Students moving to the next educational level or graduating from high school should be prepared to succeed in the next stage in their lives. TCCHS will focus on meeting the needs of the new accountability system, developing students who are well-rounded, transition-ready, and prepared with knowledge and skills to succeed in their next educational setting or career pathway.
One of my goals is to build a strong school culture within the school and the community. An excellent education is not possible without collaboration from the students, staff, and community. My plans include working with the students, staff, and community as much as possible to assist me in bringing about a culture that not only is strong for our students and stuff, but provides the ability for our community to become involved in our success.
We truly anticipate an exciting year academically for TCCHS. During the upcoming year, TCCHS will be offering new courses and expanded career, technical education (CTE) classes and pathways in areas of automotive, information technology, computerized manufacturing and machine technology, and construction carpentry. The Health Science program offerings have been expanded, providing students more career options and hands on experience with training in the healthcare fields. In addition, we will be continuing to work in conjunction with Hopkinsville Community College by offering classes at Todd County Career Path Institute in Welding, Computer Aided Drafted, and Electricity.
My aspirations and plans for Todd County Central High School can only be fulfilled and accomplished with the combined efforts and assistance of all stakeholders that are involved in finding success for all of our students. It is only with this effort and assistance that we will be able to fulfill these plans for the children of Todd County. Again, I look forward to working with all of the staff, students, and community this year as the principal of Todd County Central High School in providing the success for our students as we prepare them for their future.
Mr. Deatrik Kinney
