Today we held a ribbon cutting for the grand opening of “The Corner Store” at Todd Central. The Corner Store was made possible by a grant from KDE to allow us to work with our SPED students on building job skills to assist with a successful transition after high school. Students will assist with making items to sell, stocking shelves and assisting customers in the store. The store will be open at varying times during the school day and will offer spirit themed items as well as snacks for students.
We will be selling items before the PEP Rally on Friday and students are invited to come and shop with us. The Corner Store accepts cash only for purchases at this time.
The store will be managed by Marla Gillespie- Employment Specialist and Mandy Shemwell- Transition Specialist.
Stop by and check out this fun addition for our students at Todd Central.
