We as a community have much to be thankful for as the end of the school year approaches, with decreasing COVID-19 case numbers and increasing opportunities for vaccinations against COVID19. Still, schools and districts must continue to be cautious because the virus is still circulating and the impact of the new variants of the virus is still unknown.
Decisions on graduation, promotion and year end events were made, adhering to guidance from KDE and the Kentucky Department for Public Health. With consideration of restrictions in place, students and families will be provided with meaningful and memorable opportunities to celebrate the achievements, diligence, and perseverance of our students during this challenging school year. Based on administration requests and evaluation of plans, the school district wanted to find a solution that would allow parents and families to celebrate their student’s success in person, while adhering to safety expectations and best practices for Kentucky schools.
