We will be writing letters, narratives, short stories, and a speech.
Poetry and creative writing pieces will be incorporated into the curriculum.  I love to write!

We will be making real-world connections to the literature on a continuous basis.  Our curriculum is going to be wrapped around the content covered by the 10th grade history curriculum.  For example, the Holocaust Unit taught by the history teacher will be supplemented by articles and literature such as Night, Diary of Ann Frank, etc. in our Honors English class.

We will be working to fill in the gaps of your learning from 9th grade English by incorporating the play, Romeo & Juliet, into Q1.  There will also be an outside reading novel, To Kill a Mockingbird.  A book project on To Kill a Mockingbird will be part of the curriculum for Q2.  A rubric will be provided for the book project.
