Arthur Green

Arthur W. Green was born and raised in Lyon County Kentucky.  He graduated from Murray State University in 1973 with a degree in
Agricultural Education, MS Agriculture Education 1975, and a Rank 1 in 1981.  He was a member of Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity and still Arthur Green serves on their housing board.

He began teaching agriculture at Todd County Central High School in 1973.  During his 33 years in education, he represented teachers on the local, state, and national levels as a member, District President, Board member both state and nationally.  He held leadership roles with Kentucky Retired Teachers Association, SBDM Council, Tech Prep Program, and Kentucky FFA. 

Mr. Green is an active member of the Elkton Baptist Church, Deacon, Sunday school teacher, and a Todd County Gideon. 

He served 6 terms on Elkton City Council, was Todd County Judge Executive, Chairman of Todd County Health Department, Todd County Aging Council, a Commissioned Kentucky Colonel, and is presently mayor of Elkton, Kentucky.
