Dr. Eula Ewing Monroe

 

Dr. Monroe graduated from Clifty High School in 1957. She received her Bachelors of Science from Western Kentucky University before beginning her teaching career at Elkton Elementary School. Graduated from WKU with both a Masters and Rank 1 degree, received a doctorate degree from George Peabody College for Teachers of Vanderbilt University. Taught mathematics education at WKU Laboratory School, Brigham Young University, and worked with the Baptist Student Union at BYU. She has presented and consulted extensively in mathematics education in many states and more than 20 countries, written numerous articles and books including a mathematics dictionary for children. Outstanding lifetime achievements include Kentucky Council of Teachers of Mathematics in 1992, Utah Council of Teachers of Mathematics in 2009, and volunteer work in the Todd County School System in the area of mathematics education after 56 years in the teaching profession
