what do you do when you have build a great service project with elementary students in covid-19 before March of 2019 normal are beta students had formed a service project called betta buddies we had day camps on Friday afternoons we held sessions on Mini the Arts at our school cannot afford her offer dance drama and had just started to and of course subjects been Cove at hit we had build a rapport with the students of Elementary before we were not allowed to be in person with them anymore so we turn to our project and Technology what we started to teach Arlo send over the internet and we film how to videos virtual place and read many books aloud we use creativity to keep for idea going can you bargain with elementary students and keep our reports we had to think outside the box we can no longer do our hands on art projects in science experiments but we can make videos of these and send them to die younger friends we work at the beta and stop sponsor and rgt coordinator only my blessings virtual to set these kids some of us became famous students one of our students became the Science Guy and the kids were excited if they saw him in the community was just a matter of time before they started asking for autograph we kept the law I'm going and made it fun teachers began requesting videos on certain subjects students for reading books not assigned to them because they're made of buddy was reading with them a couple of us help with two with the two County academic team and help them get to we were hosting live sessions along with our recorded ones the GT coordinator was using our videos of her sessions and the kids begin writing our favorites with word-of-mouth students were watching and learning it started something incredible just by our students reactions as with mention we've already involved to stop and by the sponsor the GT coordinator as certain students to make videos or lessons according to their gif and talents we begin getting ideas from the Drama teacher and Si sponsors in our project continues to grow they hope to get back in person lesson soon once covered raisins have been lifted there for now we will continue working with members of the community and make our project stronger and continue. to the elementary students the sky's the limit with this question each individual uses the technology he or she felt comfortable with we do use technology as symbols are phones and it's complex digital art coding and 3D printing many of our videos on iMovie and we utilize YouTube If you would like to see many of our lessons search the GT website with our school our GT coordinator keeps many of our lessons on to keep them in one, narrow area we also have several on our Beta Club page mostly through technology of course our teachers are teacher and sponsors are taking these projects to the classroom I've been very smelly was finding us on the school website and we are very active in our community our project is geared towards the students in our school systems and we have been successful in getting the word to them and how to find our lesson 2 of course we are working with younger children and we'll say chewed all the rules of Internet safety and Technology rules and regulations are school and world is doing everything possible to keep the community safe from covid-19 Bose virtually and Sunday again
