hello if you recognize me I've done a couple more videos you might have seen me in but if you don't recognize him and I'm going to show you I'm going to show you how to make ice cream in a bag what you going to need for this if you're going to need a measuring cup couple spoons milk vanilla extract a big bag for ice salt the pair of winter gloves and we're going to start this with as we're going to get a small bag here small sandwich bag open up a milk for dinner and get your vanilla extract don't use too much of it because it's really strong are we back good 30 ml of sugar call Sarah and make sure you put all the air bubbles out of it am I put it in this gallon-size bag full of st. Louis covered in ice and salt dump it around pencil bag on the ice and now take it close it up make sure you get all the air out put on your winter gloves because you don't want to end up hurting yourself because of how cold it is and what you get those clothes on this up just start shaking it by this point you should be seeing water at the bottom of the bag here and that's good you want that Listen to I just want to take it back and forth don't get too wild or if you don't want to end up getting the milk you're still at work the shake it like that for about 10 minutes now I'm going to hand this over I got some and while they're shaking that I'm going to explain to you what all that's going to do so the ice that we put in that bag is going to freeze the milk and vanilla and sugar mixture until it becomes solid and becomes ice cream but the reason that happens is because when you put salt on a put salt on ice what it does is it freezing temperature or lower so what it does how much is put this thermometer in there and let's wait for it to give a reading I want to show you how the salt of the ice gets more cold and the regular ice and while we're waiting on that I'm going to put one of the other this is just normal ice and the other one is salted ice and one of those are the temperature I want to explain to you what what happens when salt is covered when ice covered in salt it lowers the freezing temperature of water which is normally about 32° in stop makes it at 29 degrees Fahrenheit so that means you can get water to go under it's freezing temperature without actually turning into ice so did measurement yet and yet it has salt you see the normalize is Reading in about 32 degrees Fahrenheit The Salted ice is reading 20 degrees Fahrenheit water at the bottom and get super cold without actually freezing and that's very important for the ice cream to actually turn into ice cream because we would just ice and you had 32 degrees all around the ice Fallen between the only touch parts of the ice cream and so you didn't up with the cold bag of milk well that's all that I think it's so so far below the free of the Breezy Point that it's cancer round milk bag and give it to freeze and that's the reason that you see on a snowy day you'll see trucks going out and putting ice on the road that's why they do that because it allows water to go across the road and not freeze and make it slippery and hazardous for people to drive on it because the water can get to a certain temperature and not breathe so it's a lot less dangerous for Snowy Road and sidewalks pretty much slip and fall and hurt yourself end up they also they also do that hockey games to keep the they do that hockey game keep the ice clique people to skate on the reason that this happens because salt it dissolves in water doesn't dissolve in water it means it can disturb water's ability to freeze and so when it disturbs the ability to freeze that means it freezes slower and it'll lower point and so that's why if it's so much colder and I'm going to go and check on how things are going with the icing all right now looking at the bag it looks like it's gotten pretty song but I'm going to just take it out here for a second and take a look at it that is really really solid and you can see it when I press it and it doesn't wash around that's that's done that's ice cream to done in Dallas open it up here and see if we got yep that's that's perfect right there see how it's all jumped safe to eat Rhino the bag you just and it's pretty good for pretty good for ice cream that you make in like 5 minutes so I mean that's really good price in making like a pirate and I thought I'd show you something real fun today I hope you enjoyed it and I hope you hope you enjoy it if you make it thank you for watching
