The story of the football season thus far in western Kentucky has to be what is going on in Todd County. After going winless in 2016, the Rebels are now 3-0 after holding off Hopkins Central Friday night 6-0. The game was scoreless until late in the 4th quarter, when the Rebels got the only touchdown of the contest.

While the Rebels may not be putting up many points, their defense is giving up next to nothing after three contests. Through three games, Todd County has only given up 12 points, and no team has score more than six against them.

The Rebels will have a chance to go to 4-0 next Friday when they host Fulton City. With Friday night’s loss, the Hopkins Central Storm fell to 1-3, and they get ready for their cross town rivals, the Madisonville Maroons next Friday night.
