A powerful 1-2 punch was too much for the Franklin-Simpson Wildcats to overcome Friday night. Behind the play of Nolan Barrow and John Calvery, the Todd County Central Rebels picked up the win on the road Friday night 68-61.

The game opened tight and stayed that way throughout. Behind a great start from Barrow, who connected on three 3-pointers in the first quarter, the Rebels took a 17-16 lead at the end of the quarter.

The game stayed tight in the 2nd quarter as the two teams battled back and forth. With Calvery tossing in seven points in the period, the Rebels extended their lead to 34-31 at the break.

Coming out in the second half the Wildcats kept batting the Rebels toe-to-toe. By the end of the 3rd quarter, Franklin-Simpson had trimmed the Todd County Central lead to 45-43.

Barrow and Calvery then got help from Austin Rager down the stretch. The Rebels also connected on 10 of 13 free throws in the final quarter to help finally put the Wildcats away.

Barrow led the way for Todd County with 25 points. Calvery was right behind him with 24. Alex Gilbert was the top scorer for Frankin-Simpson with 13.
